The suspect’s arrest follows two other men, aged 16 and 17, who were also charged in connection with the incident.

A third teenager has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Glasgow.

Officers were called to a report of a man injured in Garlieston Road in the Barlanark area of the city at around 9.25pm on Saturday.

The 33-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment, where medical staff have described his condition as “serious but stable”.

On Wednesday, Police Scotland said an 18-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

The suspect’s arrest follows two other men, aged 16 and 17, who were also charged in connection with the murder bid.

Detective sergeant William Downie, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.”
