Thefts of two vehicles thought to be linked as police launch investigation

Police Scotland has launched an appeal after two vehicles were stolen in Helensburgh and Dumbarton.

A black BMW was stolen from the Dumbarton area between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.

It was later recovered in Clydebank.

A black Mercedes, registration GD15 VDZ, was taken from the Boston Drive area of Helensburgh.

It has not been traced.

Officers are considering if these incidents may be linked and have appealed for anyone with any information to get in touch.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0667 of 30 July for the Dumbarton theft and 0799 of 30 July for the Helensburgh.
