Two teenagers have been charged with seriously assaulting a man in Irvine.
The 53-year-old suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock following the incident on Gigha Crescent at around 5.45pm on Tuesday.
Both 16-year-old boys will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday.
They have also been charged in connection with other acts of disorder and anti-social behaviour in the area.
A 15-year-old boy will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with other acts of disorder and anti-social behaviour in the area.
