A teenage boy is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in Greenock.
Emergency services were called to Clynder Road following a crash at around 8.05am.
A 17-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Univeristy Hospital by ambulance. His condition has not been confirmed.
The road is closed at the junction with Cardross Crescent.
Police Scotland urged drivers to use an alternative route.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 8.05am on Tuesday, April 16, police received a report of a road crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Clynder Road, Greenock
“The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Univeristy Hospital by ambulance.
“The road is currently closed.”
