A teenage boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged racist abuse of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
The incident reportedly took place on social media during Sunday’s match at Celtic Park.
Morelos scored Rangers’ equalising goal in the 1-1 draw at Parkhead.
Police Scotland said officers launched an investigation after receiving a number of complaints about the alleged incident.
A spokesperson confirmed on Monday night that an arrest has been made.
The spokesperson said: “This evening, a 17-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with an offensive social media post during the Celtic v Rangers SPFL match yesterday.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
