A teenager has been arrested in connection with the assault of three people in West Dunbartonshire.
Initially a man, 43, and a woman, 45, were walking through an underpass towards Kilbowie Road in Clydebank when they were targeted by a group of three youths.
They were attacked as they reached the road around 12.40am on June 18.
A 44-year-old man, who was crossing the road at the time, was also assaulted by the trio, police said.
Emergency services were called and the injured people were taken to hospital.
A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
One of the suspects has been described as white, between 15 and 20 years old, with blonde hair and a slim build. He was wearing a long rain jacket with a fur-trimmed hood and tracksuit trousers.
Another has been described as white, aged between 15 and 20 years old, with dark hair. He was wearing a light-grey hoodie, dark tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a black rucksack.
Officers are also reviewing CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information on the suspects.
They are also keen to hear from motorists and taxi drivers who were in the area at the time.
Detective Constable Craig McGarry said: “These attacks have been completely unprovoked and it’s imperative we trace whoever is responsible. I am appealing to motorists and taxi drivers with dash cams, who were in Kilbowie Road in the early hours of this morning, to check their footage, they may have unknowingly captured images which would assist our investigation.
