© Google Maps 2025A teenager has been charged after two girls were allegedly sexually assaulted within twenty minutes of each other in South Lanarkshire.
Police were called to the Burnbrae Road area of Blantyre after receiving reports that two girls had been victims of sexual offences at around 7.20pm and 7.40pm on Saturday.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.
He is due to appear at Motherwell Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with sexual offences following reports of two girls being assaulted in the Burnbrae Road area of Blantyre around 7.20pm and 7.40pm on Saturday, April 22.
“He is due to appear at Motherwell Sheriff Court on Monday, April 24, 2023.”
