A teenager has been arrested following an early morning serious assault in Aberdeen.
Police were called to Union Street around 1.10am on Sunday after the 31-year-old was attacked.
The victim was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Part of the street remained cordoned off into Sunday afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the serious assault of a 31-year-old man at Union Street, Aberdeen around 1.10am on Sunday, August 11, 2024.
“The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
