A 16-year-old motorcyclist is in hospital with serious leg injuries after being hit by a car in Glasgow.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the crash on Dumbarton Road, in the Scotstoun area of the city, on Friday night.

His condition is described as stable.

A blue and white Suzuki motorcycle and a blue Audi A3 were involved in the collision, which happened at the junction of Redgate Place.

Sergeant Grant MacIver, Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “I would like anyone who witnessed the collision, who has not already spoken to police, to come forward.

“I am especially keen to hear from drivers who may have dash-cam footage from the street at the time of the crash as that could provide very helpful to our investigation.”
