A teenage girl has been left with injuries following an attack in Glasgow.
The 16-year-old was walking along Dalmarnock Road, near Dalmarnock train station in the east end of the city, when she was assaulted on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9pm and the teenager was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where was treated for her injuries.
Police officers investigating the incident are now appealing for information in a bid to catch the person responsible.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Enquiries are ongoing into an assault on Dalmarnock Road in Glasgow which happened around 9pm on Saturday, 22 January, 2022.
“A 16-year-old female youth was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment following the incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101.”
