Teenage girl in hospital after assault as 15-year-old boy charged

A teenager has been charged after a 15-year-old girl needed hospital treatment following an assault in Glasgow.

Shortly before 6pm on Friday, September 1, police were called to a report of an assault of a teenage girl in Croftmont Avenue in Glasgow.

Officers attended and the 15-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.55pm, on Friday, September 1, 2023, police received a report of an assault of a 15-year-old female youth in Croftmont Avenue, Glasgow. Officers attended and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.  A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.”
