A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after he had taken unwell near a road in Glasgow.

Officers received reports of a male taken unwell in the Lyoncross Road area of Glasgow around 11.15pm on Friday.

Police confirmed the 17-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The force said enquiries into the incident are “ongoing”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 17-year-old male having taken unwell in the Lyoncross Road area of Glasgow around 11.15pm on Friday, July 12, 2024.

“Emergency services attended and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
