A 14-year-old boy has been robbed of his trainers after being assaulted by two older teenagers in Ayrshire.
Police are investigating the incident that took place in Kilmarnock on Friday.
The boy was walking on a footpath behind Onthank Primary, known locally as the Foxes, when he was targeted by the pair at around 3.30pm.
The suspects, two boys in their mid to late-teens wearing all dark clothing, stole a pair of black Adidas trainers before fleeing the scene.
One of the boys are described as having a distinctive burn or birthmark on his left cheek.
Detective Constable Robert Graham, Ayrshire CID, said: “Thankfully there has been no serious injuries as a result of this robbery, but the teenage victim has been left badly shaken.
“I would ask anyone who has any information surrounding this incident to please in touch with local officers.
“We can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting reference 1953 of Friday, 29th January, 2021.”
