A teenage boy has been charged after his off-road motorbike was involved in a crash with a car in the north of Glasgow.

The 15-year-old was taken to hospital following the crash and then charged with road traffic offences.

The incident happened at the junction of Saracen Street and Keppochhill Road on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 9.20 pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 15-year-old, the driver of the motorbike, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution.

“He has been charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
