A teenager was rushed to hospital after the dirt bike he was riding collided with a bus in East Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services were called to Cadder Road in Bishopbriggs shortly after 7pm on Friday evening.

The 16-year-old boy who was riding the off-road bike was taken to hospital for treatment following the crash.

His current condition is unknown.

Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.05pm on Friday, April 19, 2024, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a bus and an off-road motorbike on Cadder Road, Bishopbriggs.

“The passenger of the motorbike, a 16-year-old male youth, was taken to hospital for treatment. 

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
