A teenager has been taken to hospital and a man has been arrested after a crash in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Rutherglen after reports of a collision at around 4.10pm on Tuesday.
Officers closed the streets between McCallum Avenue and Hamilton Road before they were reopened around 9pm.
Police confirmed a 15-year-old male was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.
A 58-year-old man was arrested.
The force added that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Main Street, Rutherglen, has reopened following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian, which was reported around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5.
“A 15-year-old male was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.
“A 58-year-old man was arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
