Police ScotlandAn 18-year-old woman has been charged six months after a man died in a three-vehicle crash in North Lanarkshire.
An HGV, a Ford Transit flatbed and a Mini Cooper were involved in the crash on the A725 at the Shawhead flyover’s junction with the A8 eastbound slip road on July 18, 2024.
Viorel Ciucu, 50, who was driving the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicles were checked at the scene.
The 18-year-old woman who was driving the HGV has been charged in connection, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
