A teenager has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a man in Dumfries.
Zye Rogerson, 19, made no plea at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Monday, April 22, after being charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and attempted murder.
He also faces two charges relating to breach of the peace and possession of an offensive weapon whilst in a public place.
Police were called to Glebe Street in Dumfries at around 4am on Sunday, April 21, where the teenager was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A 22-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where medical staff described his injuries as serious.
Rogerson has been committed for further examination and released on bail to appear at court at a later date.
