Teen charged after man 'punched in the head and knocked onto train tracks'

Officers are appealing for the victim of the assault at Partick train station to come forward.

A teenager has been charged after a man was allegedly punched and knocked onto train tracks at a station in Glasgow.

British Transport Police were called to Partick railway station around 10.30pm on December 15 after the victim was reportedly punched in the head repeatedly and knocked onto the tracks.

He was helped up onto the platform by members of the public before boarding the 11.05pm train towards Dalmuir, where he then left the train.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the station and has been charged with assault, including two counts of assaulting a police officer, possession of a bladed weapon and breach of bail.
