A teenager has been arrested after a man was assaulted and had his car vandalised in a car park in Beith.
Officers say between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday, a 28-year-old man was assaulted and had his car vandalised in a car park at Bellman’s Close.
He was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse for treatment.
A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable McBreen, Ayrshire CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
“If there is anyone with private CCTV or doorbell footage, or drivers in the area with dash-cam footage, we urge you to contact us.”
