Police ScotlandA teenager has been arrested after a 70-year-old woman died after being struck by a car in Paisley.
Elizabeth Kennedy died at the scene after being struck by a white car around 7pm on Tuesday on Barrhead Road, east of the junction with Ladykirk Crescent, in Paisley.
The vehicle failed to stop and officers say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
Police confirmed an 18-year-old man has been arrested following the incident.
The man was released pending further enquiries.
