Teen accused of trying to murder woman by pushing her onto train tracks in Glasgow

A teenager has appeared in court accused of trying to murder a woman by allegedly pushing her onto train tracks in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Hyndland Station at around 6.30pm on Saturday evening.

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital as a precaution but is not believed to have been seriously injured, British Transport Police said,

An 18-year-old man was then arrested and charged.

Andrew Wason, from Clydebank, made no plea when he appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

He is charged with assault to injury, danger to life and attempted murder.

The Crown said he will remain in custody and will appear at court again in eight days.
