A taxi driver is seriously hurt in hospital and a teenage driver of a Range Rover has been arrested following a crash on an M8 slip road.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the Bothwell Street slip road at Junction 19 at around 4.30am on Monday.
The 64-year-old driver of the black hackney cab was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
The 18-year-old man driving the grey Range Rover was arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.30 am on Monday, November 1, 2021, police attended a report of a two-vehicle crash on the Bothwell Street slip road onto the M8 junction 19, Glasgow involving a grey Range Rover and a black hackney taxi.
“The 64-year-old taxi driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. The 18-year-old driver of the Range Rover was not injured.
“An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences.”
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
