A Glasgow taxi driver has been suspended after allegedly having an estimated £55,000 worth of suspected drugs in his possession.
Mohammed Sajed had his licence suspended on Wednesday as Police Scotland said he has been charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs.
The city’s licensing and regulatory committee heard Sajed has been accused of possessing 5kg of herbal green material worth an estimated £19,800.
The committee heard the suspected drugs were allegedly discovered in his vehicle in the Perth area on April 15 during a police search.
He is also accused of having 8.95kg of cannabis in his possession after police allegedly found the drug in his property during a search on the same date.
The licensing committee suspended Sajed’s licence for the unexpired portion of its duration.
