Police are treating the death of a man in Renfrew as suspicious after he was discovered on the street in the early hours.
The 52-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene on the town’s Renfield Street at around 3am on Monday morning.
Emergency crews cordoned off the area for several hours while an initial investigation was carried out.
A probe is ongoing, Police Scotland said.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Around 3am on Monday, October 30, we received a report of an injured man on Renfield Street, Renfrew.
“Emergency services attended and the 52-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
