A suspect has been charged with attempted murder after a man was left in hospital following a disturbance in Paisley.
At around 2.30pm on Thursday, police were called to reports of a disturbance in the Broomlands Street area of the town.
Officers attended and a 54-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
His current condition is unknown.
Police confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with attempted murder.
He is due to appear in court on Monday.
A police spokesperson said: “A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance and the attempted murder of a 54-year-old man on Broomlands Street, Paisley, around 2.30pm on Thursday, May 4.
“He is expected to appear at court on Monday, May 8.”
