Police ScotlandA suspect has been charged in connection with the murder of a man found unresponsive in South Ayrshire.
Graham Milliken, from Dundonald, was found injured in the Main Street area of the town at 4.05am on Sunday.
The 57-year-old was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment, and died a short time later.
Police Scotland said his family have been informed.
His death is being treated as murder and a 36-year-old man will appear before Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, charged in connection.
Detective Inspector Jamie Carruth, Police Scotland, said: “Officers are in the area carrying out inquiries, checking CCTV and speaking to local residents in an effort to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
“However, we are still keen to hear from anyone who may have information that would assist our investigation.
“We would be interested to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam or doorbell footage, or anyone who may have heard a disturbance in the area that night to contact us.
“Officers remain in the area and anyone with any information or concerns can approach them.”
The force has asked anyone with information to contact them via 101 quoting incident number 0635 of Sunday, August 23, 2026.
