STV NewsA man has been charged amid an investigation into an attempted murder after a 40-year-old was found unresponsive on a street in Paisley.
The 40-year-old man was found injured on George Street around 11.55pm on Friday night.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
On Sunday, police confirmed a 31-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, September 16 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
