iStockA man has been charged after an assault in Glasgow city centre left a man with serious injuries.
The assault took place at around 11.45pm on July 14 on Buchanan Street.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were sent to the scene, and a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the assault and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Officers are continuing to investigate and are urging the public to come forward with information.
Detective sergeant Sean McLoughlin said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to get in touch.”
