Suspect charged after man, 78, shot outside home

On Wednesday, police confirmed a 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident

A man has been charged after a man was shot outside a home in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to an address on Crichton Street in Springburn at around 12.40pm on May 28 after a 78-year-old man was injured.

Specialist firearms officers were deployed to the scene.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening injury and later discharged.

On Wednesday, police confirmed a 28-year-old man has been charged in connection.

He is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.
