A man has been arrested after leaving a victim in hospital following an incident on a high street in Renfrewshire.
Police were called to Johnstone High Street at around 11.20am on Friday, after receiving reports of a disturbance.
A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries, where he remains in a “stable” condition.
Officers confirmed that a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
A spokesperson said: “Police have asked any witnesses to contact them via 101 and quote incident number 4458 of December 16.”
