A suspect has appeared in connection with the death of a man in Clydebank in 2024.
The body of Alistair Brennan was discovered within a property in the Overtoun Court area on October 17, 2024.
Chris Gates appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court charged with murder and one count of production and supply of controlled drugs on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to make his second appearance within the next eight days.
Bomb squad attend scene
A Royal Navy bomb squad attended a flat in Overtoun Court after a “suspect item” was discovered during a search in connection with the unexplained death.
A 26-year-old man was charged in connection with a firearms offence following the discovery of the device on October 29, 2024.
Police said at the time that there was nothing to suggest that the item found in Overtoun Court was linked to the investigation into the death.
