Staff working at a shop in Glasgow have been left shaken after being threatened by a man claiming to have a weapon.
The man demanded a worker hand over money during the attempted robbery at Shop Local on Clarkston Road, Cathcart on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect, described as being in his mid-20s and around 5ft7 with a slim build, entered the premises at around 5.40pm.
He was wearing a blue tracksuit and black face mask.
When the shop staff refused to hand over any money he left empty handed.
Police are now appealing for witnesses as they look to trace the man responsible.
Detective Constable Natalie Timothy, of the Robbery Unit at Govan Police Office, said: “We are currently carrying out enquiries in the area and gathering CCTV footage to trace the man responsible.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious, or has dash-cam footage which may assist our investigation, to contact officers via 101.”
