A road has been locked down after a pedestrian was struck by a car in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services are currently in attendance on the B7071 at Belmont Avenue, in Uddingston, after the person was hit down at around 11am on Wednesday.
Their current condition is unknown at this stage.
The road is currently closed and drivers have been urged to find alternative routes as emergency services remain on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson: “Officers are currently in attendance following a road traffic crash which happened on the B7071 Glasgow Road at Belmont Avenue, Uddingston, at around 11am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
“The crash involved a pedestrian and a car.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is currently closed.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10:58am to attend an incident in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire. Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene.”
