A community has launched a search for a missing deaf and blind dog in the hopes of reuniting him with his family for Christmas.
Elderly golden Labrador Todd disappeared from Blantyre Train Station, South Lanarkshire, after being let out to do the toilet at around 2.30am on Thursday, December 7.
CCTV footage showed the dog leaving the rear of the station’s car park, and heading into a lane leading to nearby John Street.
The 14-year-old pooch, who is losing his sight and hearing, has not been seen since.
A community effort in Blantyre has been launched to find Todd, and reunite him with his owner Robert Sands.
“Todd disappeared from Blantyre train station at about 2.20am on December 7,” a post in a dedicated Facebook group stated.
“We have CCTV images of him leaving the bottom corner of the station car park and into the lane leading to John Street shortly after he went missing. There have been no sightings since.
“The area surrounding has been extensively searched with nothing being found. Search dog Thor has been out with Hazel Muzzle Mutts , again sadly with nothing found. Please watch out for him. [A] yellow Lab, wearing a reflective yellow collar, has a contact disc on his collar.
“If you live around the Blantyre Station area could I ask you to please check your gardens, sheds, under decking.
“We need to find this boy. Dogs don’t just disappear.”
