Country pop icon Shania Twain is set to headline Glasgow Summer Sessions as she returns to Scotland on tour in 2027.

The five-time Grammy winner will play Bellahouston Park on June 17, 2027 as part of a run of outdoor shows across the UK and Ireland.

Glasgow will be the second stop on her tour, which will see her visit Scarborough, Chelmsford, Cardiff, Exeter, Dublin, Belfast and Oxfordshire.

The show will mark Twain’s first in Scotland in almost three years, with her last concert being held at Stirling City Park in July 2024.

The announcement comes as the star prepares to mark the 30th anniversary of Come On Over and the 25th anniversary of Up! – two of her defining albums.

It also follows the release of Little Miss Twain – The Places I’ll Go, the deluxe version of her seventh studio album.

The record saw Twain turn back the clock after more than 30 years in the industry, revisiting the experiences, sounds and memories that shaped her before fame.

It draws on her childhood and teenage years in Canada, tracing the roots of her country, pop, rock, soul and bluegrass sound.

The album also features several collaborations, including tracks with Tanya Tucker, T Bone Burnett, Ronnie Wood and Toto’s David Paich.

Tickets for the Bellahouston Park show will go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 6.
