Several people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the M74.
Police have confirmed at least four vehicles were involved in the smash which happened around 6.30pm on Sunday.
Emergency crews remain at the scene near the southbound East Kilbride/Hamilton exit next to Bothwell services.
Traffic was at a standstill as officers cordoned off the road following the collision.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At least four vehicles were involved in an RTC at 6.36pm on Sunday.
“The M74 at the southbound Hamilton/East Kilbride exit has closed due to the incident.
“Several people have been injured – none are believed to be serious at this moment in time.”
