Six men and one woman have been charged over drug offences following efforts from local problem-solving teams in Glasgow.
The teams based out of London Road in the city’s east end have been working to catch those involved in the sale and disruption of drugs.
Over the past ten days over £20,000 worth of drugs and cash have been recovered as part of proactive stop searches and pre-planned searches under warrant.
Police have arrested and charged six men in connection with the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.
In addition, a woman has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Sergeant Cameron said: “We are committed to protecting the public by disrupting the trade of illegal drugs and preventing them causing harm in our communities.
“Information from the public is vital to help us continue this work and I’d ask anyone with concerns or information about drug crime in their area to report this to us.
“You can contact police directly on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
