A service station has been forced to close after a power failure meant it was unable to offer customers fuel in Dumfries and Galloway.

Traffic Scotland confirmed that the Gretna service station on the A74(M) near the Scottish border was forced to close on Wednesday around 11am.

Latest updates confirm the station would remain closed to the public “until further notice”.

Welcome Break, which operates the service station, has been contacted for comment.
