Stephen Barnes via iStockA section of the M8 has been closed on Monday due to an ongoing police incident.
The stretch of motorway heading westbound between Junction 26 and 27 was shut by emergency services at 6.07am.
The nature of the incident is not yet known. Drivers have been urged to use an alternative route if possible.
A post from Traffic Scotland read: “#M8- Jct 26-27
“CLOSEED Westbound due to a police incident.
“Please #UseAltRoute if possible.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
