Police ScotlandPolice Scotland has charged a second person in connection with the death of a man found injured outside his home in Kilwinning.
Emergency services were called to Pollock Crescent at around 1.55pm on October 18, after they received reports of an injured man.
John Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed they were treating the death of the 44-year-old as murder.
Kiey O’Connor appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday in connection with Mr Taylor’s death.
The 26-year-old was charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Officers have since charged a 19-year-old man in connection with the incident. Officers previously arrested a 53-year-old man, however, he has since been released pending further enquiries.
An investigation into the death is still ongoing.
Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.
