A search has been launched after a Paisley man disappeared upon arriving in Thailand earlier this month.

Kenny Robertson landed at Bangkok Airport on January 5 with plans to travel for a few weeks before volunteering at a dog sanctuary.

The 58-year-old, who enjoys travelling, made contact with loved ones around 2.30pm on the day of his arrival. He then sent an email on January 8 to a friend with a short message.

Friends and family say it is “extremely unusual” for Kenny not to be in contact for a prolonged period of time.

The “kind and compassionate” man, who lives in England, has also not been in touch with the dog sanctuary where he intended to volunteer.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact the Foreign Office or Thai authorities.
