Search launched for missing Wishaw teen who 'boarded train'

A search has been launched for a missing teen from Wishaw after he is believed to have boarded a train.

Hayden O’Neill was last seen in the Cove Crescent area of Shotts around 2pm on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old is thought to have got on a train to towards Glasgow.

Hayden is described as white, around 5ft 10 in height, of slim build with short brown hair. When last seen, the teen was wearing a black Canada Goose jacket, a pair of blue Montirex shorts, a blue Montirex t-shirt and white trainers with white socks.

Inspector Stephen McBride said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Hayden’s welfare and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen Hayden or who has any information on his possible whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.”
