Search launched for missing woman who may be sleeping rough

Police say that she is known to frequent Glasgow and Ayrshire areas and has been known to sleep rough.

Search launched for missing Ardrossan woman who may be sleeping rough in Glasgow or Ayrshire Police Scotland

An appeal has been launched to trace a woman from North Ayrshire who may be sleeping rough.

Catherine Pollock, also known as Goodwin, was last seen on the afternoon of Thursday, August 4 in Irvine on Princess Street, Ardrossan.

Police say that she is known to frequent Glasgow and Ayrshire areas and has been known to sleep rough.

She is described as 5ft 5in and of a slim build, with short red/auburn hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing a white bandage, and has visible injuries to her face and neck.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact police.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for the assistance from the public in tracing reported missing person Catherine Pollock (also known as Goodwin) missing from North Ayrshire.

“Catherine was last seen in Irvine around 1.30pm on Thursday August 4, 2022 in Princess Street, Ardrossan and is known to frequent Glasgow and Ayrshire areas and has been known to sleep rough. 

“Catherine is described as 5ft5, slim build with short red/auburn hair. She has visible injuries to her face and neck and was last seen wearing a white bandage. 

“If you have seen Catherine or have any information as to her whereabouts please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 1610 of 05/08/22.”
