Search launched after man’s face badly injured in Glasgow city centre assault Police Scotland

Police have released CCTV of a man they are searching for in connection to a serious assault in Glasgow.

The incident occurred on the city’s Sauchiehall Street around 11.45pm on Tuesday, February 15, this year.

A man was rushed to hospital for treatment to serious facial injuries following the assault.

Police would like to speak with a man described as white, between 20 and 35 years of age and of slim build. He was wearing a blue jacket with dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective constable James Herbison from Greater Glasgow CID said: “This was a particularly serious attack on a busy area of Glasgow City Centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for significant facial injuries.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for the man pictured, or anyone who has information relating to him or the assault to contact police.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 3891 of the February 15, 2022.

“Alternatively information can be passed to Crime Stoppers by calling 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”
