Search for missing man last seen near hospital

Police are searching for a missing man last seen near the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

James McGarvey, 56, was in the Govan Road area at around 10.45am on Saturday.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in, of slim build with greying hair. He was wearing beige clothing and a black parka jacket with fur hood.

Inspector Graeme Smith said: “We are extremely concerned for James’ welfare and have a number of officers in the area carrying out enquiries.

“I am urging anyone who thinks they may have seen James today or has information on his whereabouts to please get in touch.”
