The search for an Ayrshire man who disappeared one month ago is still ongoing.

Jason Anderson was last seen on James Taylor Avenue in Catrine at around 10.20pm on December 12. The 33-year-old was reported as missing on December 18.

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage in the local area.

Specialist resources, including the police helicopter and drones, the Dive and Marine Unit and mountain rescue teams, have been involved with the search operation.

Jason is described as being around 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short, fair hair. It has been established he was last seen wearing a black Terminal V jumper, with a prominent red V on the back, grey joggers and grey trainers.

Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan said: “A month has now passed since the last sighting of Jason and we have significant concerns for his wellbeing.

“As our efforts to trace him have continued, our thoughts were with his family and friends who spent the festive period worried about his whereabouts.

“I’d urge anyone who may have seen Jason, or has any information whatever that may assist our enquiries, to please come forward.”

In a statement released through police, his brother Frankie has issued a plea for his safe return.

Frankie said: “We want nothing more than the safe return of Jason. It’s been an extremely difficult couple of weeks, wondering where Jason is and hoping he is ok.

“Please, if anyone has any information at all that could help bring my brother home, contact the police.

“Jason, if you see this message, please get in contact as we just want to know you are safe.”

Those with information have been urged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 0991 of December 18, 2025.
