Search for man in orange hoodie after serious assault in Glasgow’s Hootenanny pub Police Scotland

Police are seeking a man following a serious assault in a pub in Glasgow city centre.

The incident took place at Hootenanny on Howard Street, close to the St Enoch’s Shopping Centre.

Officers are appealing for information about the man over the assault, which occurred at around 9.05pm on Monday, May 9, 2022.

A CCTV image of the man has been released by police.

He is described as being white, aged between 18 and 30 years old, with a medium build.

Police indicate that he was wearing an orange hooded jumper, dark shorts and dark socks and footwear.

Detective Constable James Herbison said: “I would urge the man, or anyone who has information relating to the man, depicted in this image to make contact with the Police.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow CID via 101 quoting reference number 3570 of May 9, 2022.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be passed on anonymously.”
