Police are searching for a man who was assaulted in Dalmarnock before making off from the scene.

A report was made to police that a man was being attacked near a football on Dalmarnock Road around 9.10am on September 24.

The victim and attackers had left the location before officers arrived on the scene.

Investigations have been carried out in a bid to find the injured man, who was seen on CCTV, but he has so far not been identified.

At the time of the attack, the victim was wearing a black top with a camouflage-style design on the front, black jogging trousers, and black and white trainers. 

Police have found CCTV footage that shows an injured man walking away from the area and several witnesses who saw the incident.

Detective Constable Jacqueline Harris said: “We are continuing to investigate this crime, and I would urge the man who was assaulted to contact us. We need to ensure he does not require medical treatment and that he is safe and well.

“If anyone knows who the man is or has any information regarding this incident, please contact us.”
