Police ScotlandPolice are searching for an elderly man with dementia who has been missing from his home in Kilconquhar overnight.
John Wils was last seen by family at home around 12.35pm on Tuesday.
The 82-year-old left the address and was seen by a member of the public around 3pm on a path near Kilconquhar Loch.
John lives with dementia, and concerns are growing for his welfare.
He is described as 5ft 11in in height, slim build, grey/white hair, clean shaven, and wearing glasses. He was last seen wearing a red checked shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
Inspector Andy Kirk said: “I would appeal for anyone has seen John or has any information to please get in touch as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3284 of September 15, 2026.”
